The touchpad worked normally for about a week then abruptly stopped. It does not have a key or doubletap feature to enable or disable the touchpad. I noticed in Device Manager the I2C HID had a hazard icon. I tried uninstalling/updating, I tried installing the synaptics touchpad driver from HP, I tried a factory reset/wiped everything. After tons of research and troubleshooting nothing worked. I tried every HP tool/Diagnostic and nothing worked. I cannot seem to get the touchpad driver to install properly even though it appears to. I'm at the point of taking it to an HP service center/or use the warranty. By the way, under mice or other devices there is no Touchpad listed. I assume thats why the I2C HID is showing an issue.
