Hi @Mubashir121,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy x360's touchpad scrolling isn't working, and you don't see Synaptics drivers listed, only "PS/2 Compatible Mouse." Let's go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

1. Check Windows Settings

Enable Touchpad:

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Go to Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad.

Ensure the touchpad is turned On.

Adjust Scrolling Settings:

In the Touchpad settings, scroll down to the Scroll and zoom section.

Ensure that Drag two fingers to scroll is enabled.

2. Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers

Via Device Manager:

Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Mice and other pointing devices.

Right-click on PS/2 Compatible Mouse and select Update driver.

Choose Search automatically for drivers.

If no updates are found, right-click again and select Uninstall device.

Restart your laptop. Windows should reinstall the default driver.

Manually Install Synaptics Driver:

Visit the HP Support page and enter your laptop's model number.

Navigate to the Drivers & Downloads section.

Under the Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices category, download the latest Synaptics or Windows Precision touchpad driver compatible with Windows 11.

Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. Enable Touchpad via Keyboard Shortcut

Some HP laptops have a function key to toggle the touchpad on and off.

Look for a key with a touchpad icon (usually F6, F7, or F9).

Press Fn + the corresponding function key to enable the touchpad.

4. Perform a System Restore

If the touchpad was working previously and stopped after a recent change, consider performing a system restore.

Press Win + R, type rstrui.exe, and press Enter.

Follow the prompts to restore your system to a point where the touchpad was functioning correctly.

5. Check for Windows Updates

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Go to Windows Update and click Check for updates.

Install any available updates, as they may include fixes for touchpad issues.

I hope this helps.
