HP Envy x360 Convertible 13-ay0xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

Currently, I am not able to use my touchpad or mouse whilst in the Windows 11 environment. Looking at device manager, the 'I2C HID Device' has an error, 'code 10'. I am assuming that this is the issue. When in the BIOS menu, my touchscreen works perfectly. The same goes for when using the Ubuntu operating system, and the touchpad works here too.

Steps I have taken to resolve this:

- Editing Registry

- Uninstalling drivers and restarting

- Installing new drivers

- Resetting computer, multiple times

None of these have worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi@ComputerGuy221,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Touchpad and Touchscreen issues with the HP Envy Laptop.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Update the Touchpad and Touchscreen from HP.COM

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
