Hi@Mark189207,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing touchpad issues with the HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop.
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics is a Windows-based utility that allows you to run diagnostic tests to determine whether the computer hardware is functioning properly. The tool runs within the Windows operating system in order to diagnose hardware failures.
If issue still persist then test the touchpad using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
- Start or restart the computer.
- Press F2 repeatedly during start up to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
- Select Component Tests > Touchpad.
- Click Run Once.
Once the test completes, results are displayed on the screen.
If the drive passes all tests, continue to restore a computer back to the factory default, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.
If the issue still persists then please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.
