Hello,

 

I just installed Windows 11 Pro x64 on my HP Pavilion 15-cb0xx. But my Touchpad is not working (scroll and gestures) - driver problem. I tried to use many-many different driver, but none of them worked. Can someone please help me and write which driver will work on Win11 x64?

Since your touchpad is not working after installing Windows 11 Pro x64 on your HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb059tx, let’s go through some steps to fix the issue.

Check if the Touchpad is Enabled

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Navigate to Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad.
  3. Ensure the Touchpad toggle is turned ON.

Install the Latest Touchpad Driver

  1. Go to HP Support.
  2. Enter your laptop model: HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb059tx or the serial number of your product
  3. Expand Driver - Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices.
  4. Download and install the Synaptics or ELAN Touchpad Driver for Windows 11.
  5. Restart your laptop.

Update or Roll Back the Touchpad Driver via Device Manager

  1. Right-click the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  3. Right-click Synaptics/ELAN/Precision Touchpad and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for drivers.
  5. If that doesn’t work, select Uninstall device and restart your laptop—Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.

Install Windows Precision Drivers (Alternative Solution)

If the above steps don’t work, you can try installing Microsoft Precision Touchpad drivers manually:

  1. Open Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices.
  2. Right-click Synaptics/ELAN Touchpad and choose Update driver.
  3. Select Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  4. Select HID-compliant touchpad or Microsoft Precision Touchpad and install it.
  5. Restart your laptop.

Perform a Windows Update

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  2. Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
