Hi! I bought the notebook 14-cf0018ca about a month ago, and I'm having problems with the touchpad when the charger is plugged in. When I first bought it, everything was working perfectly fine, but I recently moved to a new house and I am noticing this problem ever since I moved here. Is there something I can do to fix this myself or is it a hardware problem that needs to be fixed by you guys? Thanks so much!

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.
I have gone through your Post and I would like to help
Please update the BIOS from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-14-cf0000-laptop-pc/20395769/model/23022841
Next update the Touchpad driver from Device Manager
- Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
- Look for Mice and Other pointing devices and expand the List
- Look for Touchpad driver then right-click it, and select Update Driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver: Open Device Manager, right-click the Touchpad driver and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
I also suggest you run a Hardware Test on the Touchpad to confirm the Hardware Functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the Notebook
- Turn on the Notebook and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Touchpad
If the Touchpad passes the Test and if the issue persists, we can try a System Restore to an earlier time before the issue started
- Select the Start button, type control panel and then choose it from the list of results.
- Search Control Panel for Recovery.
- Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.
- Choose the restore point prior to the start of the issue and then select Next > Finish.
Keep me posted how it goes 😊
Thank you and have a wonderful day
