HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-dk0005nt
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My device managerMy device manager I cant use my touchpad. I was using my touchpad only when there was no mouse connected but somehow it was enabling itself randomly and i couldnt disable it through windows touchpad manager so i used device manager to shut it down. It went like this for a while(like a month) and recently i noticed that i cant get it back on. I hope its a driver issue. I tried deleting the device and updating the drivers but it didnt work.

My pc warms up a lot while playing. Can it be that my touchpad pins somehow damaged?

Hi@gabrielito99,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Touchpad issues with the HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try updating the Touchpad drivers from HP.COM
  • You can do Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.

Thanks for the response, my friend solved the issue by opening up my laptop.  My pc would not see the touchpad, so we checked the inside and put a plastic to its entry side. it works fine for now.
