Product: HP 255 G7 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi. For some time the cursor on my 255 G7 Laptop has been intermittenty faulty- erratic movements, total feezes, sometimes moving by itself. I checked for driver updates via windows and it told me drivers were up to date. Trouble shooting also told me the device was working properly until this week when I ran diagnostic tests and the touchpad failed. The curser wouldn't move on the right hand side of the test. The results seem to indicate that the touchpad sensor had failed so I fitted a new one but the problem is still there. I checked the synaptics website for drivers but found it baffling. I am currently using an external mouse which works fine.
