Hello! I’ve accidentally turned off my touchpad on my HP laptop and I cannot turn it on. I’ve tried using touch screen to turn it back on and I won’t tap in the settings area. Nothing is helping.

Hi @Ashersdashers,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

You may have changed some settings in your device manager.

Step 1: Press the Windows button and X to open a menu. Click Device Manager.

Step 2: Find "Mice and other pointing devices" and open the drop-down menu. You will see your mouse and your touchpad options.

Step 3: Right-click your touchpad and click "enable". There you go! Hopefully, it works out.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
