HP Pavilion 15-cs1000tx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello Users,

I am using Hp pavilion 15 cs-1000tx Serial No. 5CD84260PX. Windows 11 25H2 26200.8973. My issue is, after the latest os build update gesture and interaction section is not showing any options for my touchpad. Only the touch is working, no clicks, no gesture controls. Tried to reinstall the driver but could not get it from hp official website for windows 11.

Hi @Pratish_Ranjan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for providing the details. Since the touchpad is still responding to touch input but clicks and gesture options are no longer available after the Windows 11 25H2 update, this may be related to the touchpad driver or Windows recognizing the device incorrectly after the update.

Since a Windows 11-specific touchpad driver may not be listed for this older model, please try the following:

1. Check the touchpad device in Device Manager

Press Windows + X > Device Manager.

Expand human interface devices and mice and other pointing devices.

Look for entries such as ELAN Touchpad, ELAN Input Device, HID-compliant touch pad, or I2C HID Device.

If any of them have a yellow warning icon, right-click the device and select Properties to check the error code.

2. Check for the touchpad driver through Windows Update

Go to:

Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates > Driver updates

If an ELAN, HID, chipset, or touchpad-related driver is available, install it and restart the notebook.

3. Check whether Windows is detecting the touchpad correctly

Go to:

Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad

If the touchpad settings page is present but the gesture/click options are missing, please check Device Manager for the exact touchpad device name.

If the touchpad section itself is missing, this would indicate that Windows is not properly detecting the touchpad driver/device.

4. Check the driver version and rollback option

In Device Manager, open the touchpad device's

Properties > Driver

Check the Driver Provider, Driver Date, and Driver Version.

If the issue started immediately after the Windows update and Roll Back Driver is available, you can try rolling back the driver and restart the notebook.

Since this started immediately after the Windows 11 25H2 update, please also let us know whether the touchpad worked normally before that update.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
