Hi @5CD302DWRC,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your touchpad sensitivity issue with your HP laptop. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check Touchpad Settings

Press Windows + I to open Settings → go to Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad.

Adjust the Sensitivity slider under “Taps” and test if it feels better.

Update or Reinstall Touchpad Driver

Open Device Manager → expand Mice and other pointing devices.

Right-click your touchpad driver → select Update driverSearch automatically for drivers.

If it’s already up to date, right-click again → Uninstall device → restart your laptop (Windows will reinstall it automatically).

Check for Windows Updates

Go to Settings > Windows Update and install all available updates.

Updates often include touchpad performance improvements.

Reset Touchpad Settings to Default

In Settings > Touchpad, scroll down and click Reset.

This will restore the default sensitivity and gesture configurations.

Perform a Hard Reset

Shut down your laptop → unplug the adapter → hold the power button for 15 seconds.

Reconnect power and turn it on to see if the issue is resolved.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
