HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I have been using my laptop for a few months now - but I recently started utilising the touchscreen and pen functionality. These worked for a few weeks, however they are now experiencing some problems. More often than not, the touchscreen and pen simply do not work. If it does work, putting my laptop into the tablet mode will stop them from working, and they will not re-enable after exiting tablet mode.

I have, many times, uninstalled and re-installed both the "HID-compliant touch screen" and "Intel(R) Precise Touch and Stylus - Base Driver - Port #1" driver. The former frequently disappears from the "Device Manager" > "Human Interface Devices" list. The latter is always present, but from time-to-time will have an error, stating the device has experienced problems and windows has disabled it (stating error code 43, for reference). I then, as per online instruction, will uninstall and re-install the driver, but the problem persists.

I have utilised the built-in product manager (both the "myHP" app and its available tools, and the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows" app and its tools), supposedly all of my software and drivers are up-to-date, as is my BIOS, OS, and Windows 11 version. I have attempted to utilise the HP UEFI Hardware Diagnostics Tool, however this will not disapply any hardware test for the touch screen, the only input device that can be tested are the touch/scroll (finger) pad. My UEFI Hardware Diagnostics Tool is on the latest version.

I have read the available documents on fixing touchscreen and pen functionality. I have performed all steps that are available to me on my device. These functions still do not work. I do not know what else I could try to fix this problem - advice would be appreciated.

If it's relevant, my warranty is still valid.

It is definitely compatible as I was using it without problems a few weeks ago, the problems have developed since using it.
