HP ENVY x360 - 15-bp104nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've a problem with my HP ENVY x360 - 15-bp104nl. If I touch the screen with one finger, while AC/DC adapter is connected and/or jack and/or other peripherals are connected with the electrical system of my house, the touch screen detects various touches and goes crazy. The HP bot doesn't help me. I clean the screen and run HP diagnostic in UEFI mode.
I noticed that if I touch the PC shell while I touch the screen, the problem disappears. I think is something linked with static electricity and/or earthing system.
I found the problem about a month and a half ago, but I didn't understand what it was and it never showed up again after restarting the PC.

@frcfede In most cases, an ESD-related hardware glitch should be resolved by turning off the device and then restarting it.

Let's perform a power reset as per HP standards:

  • Ensure your laptop is OFF.
  • Unplug all the external devices (If any).
  • Disconnect the power charger from the computer, and remove the battery.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.
  • Connect the power supply (power adapter).
  • Press the power button to turn on your laptop.
  • Then put your battery back.
