HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fd0000 (9R7K7AV)

My HP laptop has an intermittent touchscreen issue where the touchscreen stops responding during normal use. The touchscreen is identified in Device Manager as the I2C HID Device.

I have already disabled the “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” setting for the touchscreen device and related devices and restarted the laptop, but the issue continued. I also checked the related I2C HID devices and Intel I2C controllers. I then rolled back/updated/uninstalled the touchscreen/I2C drivers to the previous versions, but the touchscreen still stops working.
i have also gone into bios. HP diagnostics and performed the touch related tests (both worked and i seem to not get this issue at all with bios/HP diagnostics.
I had thought this might be an issue of the touchscreen driver or related system sleeping then not waking up, but the touch fails no matter the duration of when i last used it. its randomly interspersed be it 30 seconds or 30 minutes.

I would like assistance if at all possible.
