Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone,

since roughly 8 months i own the above mentioned notebook (Version: 3Z6R0ES) and two weeks ago my touchscreen stopped working.
At first, the touchscreen stopped working after a few hours and rebooting Windows fixed the problem.
Probably caused by a BIOS update.

But now it does not work at all. Even in BIOS/UEFI or with another operating system (Ubuntu via USB-Stick boot) the touchscreen does not work and Windows shows in the device manager the well-known I2C HID-Device with the error message: "
(Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed."

Since the touchscreen is not working in BIOS and also with other operating systems, the problem is obviously not connected to windows.

I already tried several BIOS roll-back versions but the touchscreen is still not working.
I don't think it's a hardware problem because in the beginning the issue was fixed by a reboot.

How can I fix this issue? I want my touchscreen back because this functionality was the reason I bought a x360 convertible.

Thanks for the help,
all the best,
Harry

So, no answers up to now.

Is there no possibility to fix my touchscreen issue?

I again tried several bios version and enabling and disabling the touchscreen functionality in the "built-in devices" tab in the BIOS.

The touchscreen still does not work.
That's just not acceptable for a 8 month old device.

So obviously there is no possibility fo tix that issue?

So I have to go for warranty.

However, this is a major flaw if a touchscreen just stops working after a few months.
Never heard of such an issue before.

Trying again:

Anyone has a solution how to get my touchscreen working again?

I thought I am going to get help here, but obviously you geht only help for problems like "how to reinstall a driver" or "where do I have to turn on my computer".
