Envy
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Envy laptop has a transparent screen on the right hand side from the top of the screen to the bottom of screen.  It is present as laptop starts up and present in safe mode.  I have reinstalled Windows and it is still there.  I have deleted graphics adapter and it is still there.  The only changes made to my laptop before this screen appeared is a windows 10 update.  Laptop has not been dropped or damaged.

Hi,

The screen is damaged and the panel needs to be replaced. I am sure that if you attach to an external monitor/TV the image is normal.

If you provide the exact model or product number of the machine we can take a look at what kind of fix we are talking about.

Let me know,

David

I don't understand how the screen is damaged.  It literally sits on my desk and is not moved.  I don't use the touchscreen and nothing has touched it.  I have only had this laptop 3 months, the mouse pad doesn't always work, the power button sometimes doesn't work. I just don't understand.
