Hello,

Iam having a problem connecting 2 external monitors on HP laptop 15-dw2704nc, since there is only one HDMI i did my research and found out that connecting the second monitor to USB-C is not an option. I then tried connecting it to the regular USB through a reduction which didnt work nor did dual HDMI reduction which i tried after that, that only duplicated the original monitor screen i had already plugged in the HDMI, which is pretty much useless. So my question is if there is another way of connecting dual monitors, or if iam doing something wrong? Maybe a different USB reducion?

Thank you in advance!

Nikolas.

Sorry for the bad news -- but you have exhausted all the options through your very extensive testing.

I ran into a similar issue using a USB-to-VGA video adapter which would not work.  I had to go through two more different models until I found one that did work.  But if your USB port is not sending video signals, there is nothing you can do.

And, as you have found out the hard way, the HDMI splitters only provide the same signal to both jacks.
