Hp envy m6 notebook
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have barely used my notebook in the last 5 years so I do not know when my webcam stopped working.

I've went to device manager, imaging devices, only thing listed is my printer. I right click on imaging devices and scan for hardware changes and nothing is found.

I updated the cyberlink youcam software but when I open it it states no webcam detected.

I tried doing a restore to the farthest date back I could go that didn't work either.

In Device Manager on my computer the HP Truevision webcam is listed under "Camera" and not the imaging devices.  Might be in your case, might not.
