Hi there
I'm trying to connect my HP Compaq L2311c monitor to my Lenovo All in One A340-24ICB so I have two monitors running at the same time for work but I can't seem to get the HP monitor to be operational. It comes up with a Check Video Cable message, I've tried USB 3.0 cable for hp to Lenovo using all USB ports available with no luck. Is there a specific cable I need or am I just not using the correct ports??
I really need this for work so any help or advise will be greatly appreciated.
Hope to here from anyone soon
Kind regards

The specs of your monitor is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c03105388
It ONLY has VGA (analog) input port. The USB input port is NOT for video, it is USB 3.0 upstream (interface to notebook) port.
Does your Lenovo have VGA out or any video out ? I don't know its specs but from the following link it MAY have HDMI out port
If YES, you can use HDMI to VGA converter to connect for example
https://www.jaycar.com.au/hdmi-to-vga-converter/p/AC1638
If NO, you can use USB to VGA to connect, for example
https://www.mwave.com.au/product/startech-usb-to-vga-multi-monitor-external-video-adapter-ab86404
Regards.
