Hi @murphyv,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
On the HP ENVY x360 15m-ed0013dx, or similar models running Windows 11, there might not be a dedicated physical key or a straightforward keyboard shortcut specifically for disabling the webcam directly. However, you can manage your webcam privacy and disable it through Windows settings or by using specific software solutions provided by HP or third-party applications. Here are a couple of methods you can try to control the camera functionality:
Through Windows Settings
Disable the Camera Using Device Manager:
- Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager from the menu.
- Expand the Cameras, Imaging devices, or Sound, video and game controllers section.
- Right-click on your webcam and select Disable device. Confirm any prompts that appear.
Adjust Privacy Settings:
- Open Settings by pressing Windows key + I.
- Navigate to Privacy & security > Camera.
- Here, you can toggle off the access to the camera for all apps or select which apps can use the camera.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
