Hello,
I have an HP Pavilion 15-eg2xxx Laptop, and I would like to setup two external monitors so that I will have three displays: 1) the Laptop Display, 2) External Monitor #1 via HDMI, and 3) External Monitor #2 via VGA.
I'm using a docking station and have connected them as indicated above.
The external monitors are recognized and have power and display, but only as a single monitor so the display is duplicated. Under System>Display, I've selected the "Extend these displays" option, but when I select the "Identify" button, only two displays seem to be recognized (1. The Laptop and 2. Both External Monitors).
How can I configure this so that the external monitors are recognized as separate displays?
Thank you.

What is your HP Pavilion 15-eg2xxx ? It should have same ports as the following machine
It ONLY has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only) ports which do NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use them to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
