HP Notebook Model 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It's a brand new HP Notebook 15. Two-fingered swipe does nothing when I'm on websites, in Word, etc. I checked on Updates. All seems in order there, though I have to admit I'm not very tech savvy. Thanks in advance ...

According to the user manual for your notebook, there is a Synaptic touchpad installed.  A link is below for your convenience.

I suggest that you reinstall the Synaptics TouchPad driver that matches the Windows 10 version that is installed. The drivers can be located at the link below, Look in the Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input devices section.

Identifying your notebook as you have done is like describing your car only by its brand.

Enter the Control Panel and click on Mouse.  Now click on Clickpad settings.

A properties window should appear that gives you the choice of options on setting up specific finger Gestures for the touchpad/clickpad, including two-fingered scrolling.

See the HP tutorial document at link below for even more information

Thanks Erico, but ...

When I go Control Panel / Mouse I only get these options -- Buttons, Pointers, Pointer Options, Wheel, Hardware.

Nothing for Clickpad Settings. At least, nothing obvious.

You still do not get it.

It is hard to help you if you don't identify your notebook.

It is in fact just guessing.

I don't like to make guesses.

Look on the bottom in the tiny letters and find the ProdID.

Post it in your next response.

Hi Erico, it's a HP Laptop 15-db0125AU, with Product #: 4NZ54PA#ABG

Hopefully that's what you were asking for. Yes, I'm not very good with computers; my expertise is with other things. But I appreciate your help.

Cheers,

Cam
