Hi Tomas, I am having a similar issue with my Pavilion laption.  Can you check your "Device Manager" under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and see if you have anything with the name UCSI?

If you have the same laptop as me - hp envy 13 - then I do not think those adapters will work. I went through a bunch before I ended up buying the original one from HP via Amazon germany. Go to amazon.de and look up 1bg94aa or try the following link.
