I have an HP Fury running Windows 11 Pro, and I’m currently experiencing an issue with the USB-C port.
I use a plug-and-play USB-C hub to connect a keyboard, mouse, and an external monitor. Before performing a clean Windows installation, everything worked perfectly, including video output via USB-C. However, since reinstalling Windows and updating all drivers from HP’s official website, video output through USB-C no longer works, although the keyboard and mouse still function properly through the same hub.
I updated all the drivers from HP image assistant.
I updated all the drivers from HP image assistant. Here's what I found:
When I plug in the hub with the screen connected, the PC freezes as soon as it's connected if the NVIDIA card is enabled.
If I disable the NVIDIA card (RTX A3000 12GB Laptop GPU), the PC does not freeze, but the screen is not detected.
I also tested with another screen: same behavior.
The same hub + screen works on another PC, so the hardware is not to blame.
Peripherals connected to the hub via USB-C work (keyboard, mouse).
I have the impression that this is due to an update of the USB-C port, have you had a similar case? Can you help me?
I forgot to tell you that I tried the hardware reset solution, it works but once the PC goes into standby or shuts down, I have the USB-C port with hdmi again which no longer works.
