Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey,

I connected my laptop to an external display using the USB C port. It worked during the morning when I tried again after lunch it wasn't working. My USB C headphones were not working with the laptop either.

I checked the drivers and uninstalled and re-installed the USB ones but still no luck. I tried restarting (total shut down and holding for 30 sec) but still nothing.

Oddly it shows my laptop is charging with the USB-C port but its just not working... I have no clue what to do.

What is your machine ? Not all USB-C ports are the same. We need to know which is one on your machine. Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine

For security reason, please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n) on Internet.

Regards.

It is Hp Envy x360 15.6 inch. I know about the different USB C types but as I mentioned, the USB-C was connected to my external monitor and it worked for some time and only recently it stopped working.
