Hi, I've been happily using my HP z27 4k monitor for four years. Recently, the HP supplied USB C to USB C cable has begun to fail -- it won't connect. This cable carries both signal and power to my Mac to/from my MacBook Pro. This happened once before while the monitor was under warranty and HP sent me a replacement cable. However, I'm out of warranty and can't find an HP brand replacement. Instead I bought a highly-righted Thunderbolt 240w 40Gps replacement. This cable works about two-thirds as well. Video signal and power transfer are fine, but the monitor sense the connection ONLY If I turn the monitor off and on. In other words, the monitor will not switch on automatically when I re-connect the Mac, as it did with the original HP-issued cable. Can anyone recommend the correct cable replacement? I've attached a photo with all the key serials below, including the original HP cable product number. Thanks for your wisdom!
