Second display was not recognized. I tried some solution in internet, however there were no effective ones.
I would like to know other check point and solve it.
Please teach me any solutions.
System image
I used dual display system with my lap top and DELL monitor (E2211h, resolution 1920 x1080 ) through USB-c to HDMI connector purchased from below amazon URL.
I used two types of connection.
・direct connection
Envy's USB-c port ⇒ HDMI connector ⇒ HDMI cable 2⇒ DELL monitor
・using switching hub
Envy's USB-c port ⇒ HDMI connector ⇒ ( HDMI ceble1⇒ HDMI switching hub) ⇒ HDMI cable 2⇒ DELL monitor
Problem & situation
It has worked successfully since I purchased when connecting directly and through switching hub.
However, it stopped working after connecting with new HDMI cable1, and it remains after connecting directly.
Device manager showed just one device as PnP monitor ( I think it's the monitor of laptop itself).
Trial solution
I tried any options below, but there are no effective ones.
・push Windows key + P .
・restart monitor and PC
・reset Radeon setting.
・update driver of display adaptor
・update windows
・uninstall display adaptor
Machine detail
OS windows 10 64 bit
processor; AMD Ryzen 7 3700U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.30 GHz
RAM 16.0 GB (13.9 GB available)
machine checking
・monitor and HDMI cable2 has no problem. I confirm with other PC and video games having HDMI port.
・Other USB-c to HDMI connector did not work too.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
As you've mentioned earlier with the same setup display used to work then let's try Microsoft system restore:
System Restore returns your computer to the files and settings from the restore point. Your personal files and documents are not affected.
- Save any open files and close all open programs.
- In Windows, search for restore, and then open Create a restore point from the results list.
System Properties opens with the System Protection tab selected.
- On the System Protection tab, click System Restore.
The System Restore window opens.
- Click Next.
- Click the Restore Point that you want to use, then click Next.
The confirmation window opens.
- Click Finish to restore your computer to a previous point.
- Do not interrupt System Restore when it starts. This can corrupt your hard drive and create more problems. Click Yes in the warning that appears.
- System Restore returns the computer configuration to a previous point in time and restarts.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
