USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode

HP Recommended
HP Notebook 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to purchase a docking station for my laptop to connect a LED ultrawide HD monitor (3440x1440; 60Hz).  How can I determine if my computer USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode?
