Hello.

A few weeks ago I purchased an HP USB-C to HDMI Hub (https://store.hp.com/hk-en/default/hp-usb-c-to-hdmi-hub-multi-connection.html) at Best Buy.  A couple of days ago my laptop's screen was doing this bizarre flashing behaviour: it would be at whatever brightness I'd set it to for about 15 seconds, then pop up to full brightness for 3 seconds, before going back to the level I'd set it to for 15 seconds, then flashing again, etc.

You can view a video of it here: https://youtu.be/3t6wPtwtaA0  My cell phone's camera tries to adjust for the suddenly bright laptop screen and the whole video goes darker.

I 'fixed' the problem by unplugging the USB-C Hub and plugging the power cable directly into my laptop.  So I'm 99% certain that the hub is the problem.  I'm not sure how to go about resolving the issue, as HP's support request web page requires inputting a serial number from the device and there isn't one on the hub... not one that the web page accepts anyway.

The hub's package claims it has a "One Year Limited warranty from date of purchase".

If anyone can suggest a next step to getting the situation resolved, I would appreciate it.  Thank you. 🙂
