Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got myself a USB-C to HDMI adapter for my HP Pavilion, because I change to 2 screens but only have one HDMI port (no display or other ports). I connected this adapter to my laptop and connected the HDMI cable of the monitor to it, but I don't get any signal on the monitor. Do I need to install a driver or something like that first?

Hello @MausBlau,

Currently no HP Pavilion series models have USB-C ports that support the DisplayPort Alternate mode or Thunderbolt 3, either of which is required for display output.

If you'd like to connect a second monitor, I'd recommend this USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter which I've recommended to several users on this forum. I can't guarantee reliability with this, however.

Hope that helps.
