am having the issues, again I have tries all manner of bios and driver settings all to no avail.
My issue occurs with both USB-C to HDMI and USB-C to VGA adapters, though seems to be less for the VGA.
Any solutions would help as this is getting beyond painful.
Also I would add that my main laptop screen will flicker in a band as well as the external monitor.
Thanks all

Hi @Pinches
Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.
I understand that you are unable to connect both USB-C to HDMI and USB-C to VGA
I'd like to help.
Please Click Here, enter the Product Number of your Notebook, Select the OS and download the BIOS.
Also, update the Graphics driver from the Device Manager and ensure you have installed all the Windows updates.
- In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
- In the list of devices, look for Display Adapters and expand the list
- Right-click the Graphics driver and select Update Driver Software.
- Click Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated driver.
- Restart your computer to complete the installation of the updates
Next check for Windows updates.
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & security > Windows Update. Select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.
Have you tried the adapters with different Notebooks to ensure it's not an Adapter issue?
Keep me posted how it goes.
If the issue persists, please contact our Phone Support and our Support Engineers should be able to Remote into your Notebook and sort this out.
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.
Thank you. 🙂
