Hi all, I have this Notebook HP - 14-bp005la Product Code 1GR55LA with an extra HDMI monitor, but the main 14" built in the notebook seems to be too small for work the whole day. Is there any posibility to have an extra HDMI monitor attached to USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1? In this way I may have to big sized screens.
Thanks and regards.
Gustavo

The Maintenance and Service Guide for that system states the USB-C port "supports data transfer". It seems very unlikely that this USB-C port has unadvertised DisplayPort alternate mode support - normally if DisplayPort alternate mode is supported then this is documented. If there is no DisplayPort alternate mode support then there is no way of hooking a second additional screen to the system GPU.
You could hook up a DisplayLink adapter to a USB port, though this is a moderately expensive thing and it means the connected screen is driven off a USB connected graphics adapter, not the system GPU. A DisplayLink screen is fine for productivity and general use, but is no good for video playback or gaming.

Hi David, thanks for your support.
May be this kind could work? Considering it may be expensive I 'm not sure this may work
Thanks in advance

I'm having to rely on Google Translate as I speak no Spanish, but that product looks like what you want. The key thing is that you need something that has drivers - a USB-C driver-free solution requires DisplayPort alternate mode support which your notebook seems to lack. This is a USB type A product so must be a driver based solution.
If you have any queries, I suggest you address them to the sellers. I hope this works out for you.
