Hp Victus 16-R0017NT
Microsoft Windows 11

I own an HP Victus 16-R0017NT. I'm connecting it to an ASUS TUF GAMING VG27AQML1A monitor via HDMI to get a 144Hz display (the monitor supports HDMI 2.0). My monitor supports up to 260Hz via DisplayPort. To at least get a 240Hz display, I purchased a Maxonar USB C - DisplayPort cable 8K@60Hz 2M/6.6Ft 4K@60Hz/144Hz/120Hz 5K@60Hz 2K@240Hz Thunderbolt 3 - DisplayPort HBR3 Type C DP 1.4 Adapter [VESA certified] (https://amzn.eu/d/9R3nmpN). However, I'm not getting any display. I tested the cable on an older PC with the same monitor, and it works. Please help me, where am I going wrong? Is there any setting I need to adjust? All drivers, etc., are up to date
