Hi everybody,
I have a wireless mouse HP515, but I don't have the USB dongle. Is there any way to get a replacement USB dongle from HP? Or any other way to operate it?
I have been trying to get support from HP website, but in vain. The mouse's serial number is not even recognized by HP's contact forms.
Thank you for any idea or hint.
Best,
Nicolas

Try: HP 515 Ultra-schnelle wiederaufladbare Wireless-Maus - Einrichtungs- und Benutzerhandbücher | HP®-Su..., or if HP redirects by region automatically, the broader international support page is also valid: HP 515 Ultra-Fast Rechargeable Wireless Mouse - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support.
Not to keep your hopes up, but to be honest most HP dongles -especially for the higher-end mouse models, are factory-paired and effectively non-replaceable.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Unfortunately, the practical answer is probably "no".
Although the HP 515 mouse appears to use HP's "Unifying Dongle" system, HP does not seem to sell replacement receivers in any straightforward way, and many HP forum threads indicate that lost dongles usually cannot realistically be replaced.
You can still try contacting HP Support directly, especially if the mouse is under warranty, but I would not expect an easy or inexpensive solution.
Also check whether your specific HP 515 model supports Bluetooth. If it does, you may be able to pair it directly with the PC without any USB receiver.
Otherwise, the most practical solution is probably to replace the mouse. In many cases, a new wireless mouse costs less (and involves less frustration) than trying to locate a compatible HP receiver.
One additional note: HP's support page for this product specifically says the accessory may not be identifiable by serial number alone and instead requires the product number, which may explain why the support forms rejected the serial number.

Thank you for the answer, NonSequitur777.

I understand that this should be a 2-step process. First you enter the serial number, then you are asked for the product number. In my case, it fails at the first step. Could you please provide me the link to the support page you are referring to? Thanks
