HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cr0000 (538A1AV)

My HP Envy laptop was working well with an HDMI connection to a monitor and a USBC connection to another monitor. It has worked fine like this for about 6 months. Suddenly, the USBC connection won't work.

I've tested the cable and monitor and both are fine.

I conclude it is the laptop end being the issue.

I've run Windows updates to try to resolve. It's not made any difference.

Any suggestions what the issue may be and how to resolve please?

it was fine! but now....it's won't display through USBC

Many thanks

*UPDATE*

I found a fix for this on the forum. For anyone else with t his problem (as it seems I'm not the only one!)

This is what fixed it for me (Courtesy and thanks to StefanL52 from this community!):

I fixed the issue by doing the following:

1 - Shut down the laptop

2 - Press and HOLD the power button down for 30 seconds

3 - Start the laptop up again
