Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi i hope someone can help. I am currently running an external screen through the HDMI and require a second screen so i  bought a HP USBC to HDMI 2.0 adapter however it is not working. I have a HP pavillion 15-cw1

 

Can anyone help??

What is your HP pavillion 15-cw1 ? It should have same ports as the following machine

 

                     HP Pavilion - 15-cw1511sa

 

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
