First off, why does HP Chat never seem to work??? It seems like the most complicated chat system ever, I just need to talk with someone and I can't even connect

 

Anyways, I have a laptop that is docked in an UltraSlim Docking Station. The docking station is up to date with firmware 2.33. I have 2 monitors connected to the dock, 1 over VGA and the other on DP using a DP to HDMI cable. The 2 monitors are HP 24uh monitors.

 

The monitor with VGA connects without an issue. The DP monitors is connected, as I can see it in the display manager and inside the Intel display manager. I can move my mouse to the monitor and move windows to it, but nothing actually displays on the monitor. The monitor stays black and when I wake it and ask it to look for a signal, it says No Signal. I have replaced the monitor with a brand new one that works, I have replaced the cables, replaced the dock, nothing seems to work.

 

I have updated the Intel Video Drivers and then rebooted, for about 3 min the monitor came up. I undocked the laptop and docked it back in....and nothing. The monitor never came back on.

 

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on with this one monitor connected via DP to the dock?

HP has few Ultraslim docking station products, which one is yours ? Are they (your machine and the dock) compatible ? None of them on the following list is compatible with your 1030 G1

Thanks for the reply. If the laptop has the docking replicator port, its compatible with the UltraSlim 2013 dock. Everything else works great through the dock, just not this one screen. It works for over 2 year until recently, so I know the dock is compatible.
