Microsoft Windows 11

Hi All,

I have this problem with my new laptop and external monitor and hope someone could help with a solution. The setup is:

- Only one LG 34" ultrawide monitor (2560x1080) connected to Dell D6000 dock via original HDMI cable (came with the monitor)

- Dell D6000 dock connected to HP Envy 13 x360 (AMD Ryzen 5600 on Windows 11 - just bought recently) using USB-C

When I turn on the laptop, the ultrawide screen resolution 2560x1080 is not available. The max resolution I can select from Display Setting is 1920x1080.

I will need to disconnect the USB-C cable between D6000 dock and HP laptop, then re-connect the cable. Then the ultrawide resolution 2560x1080 is displayed correctly.

I have updated all drivers for the dock and LG monitor, but the issue still persists.

If I use the same set up with my Dell work laptop (instead of my new HP Envy laptop), there is no issue. Ultrawide screen resolution is always displayed correctly. My Dell work laptop is on Intel i5 8th gen and Windows 10 (much older than my new HP laptop).

Really appreciate your advice. Many thanks.

Regards,

Andrew
