I've been trying to adjust my screen brightness, but for some reason, the brightness does not change even when I press f4 or dragging the brightness bar to the left. It's now stuck at full brightness and restarting does not help.

Reinstall your GPU. Use DDU in safe mode first uninstall both GPU drivers (igpu and dgpu) then install driver directly from gpu manufacture site. Or you can also install GPU driver from Hp driver page of your laptop.

Hey,

If your brightness is stuck, it’s usually a driver or setting issue. First, update your graphics and chipset drivers from HP Support for your exact model.

Also, check Windows settings: go to Settings → System → Display and make sure “Change brightness automatically” is turned off.

If it still doesn’t work, open Device Manager → Display adapters, right-click your graphics card, and choose Update driver. This usually restores brightness control.

If the screen still won’t adjust, the display driver may need a clean reinstall using the HP driver packag
