HP Notebook - 15-bs033cl
Microsoft Windows 11

For some reason, I have been unable to change my windows 11 laptop's brightness settings.

I have done everything from checking drivers (all up to date) to rebooting my system and trying to buttons themselves but nothing seems to work. Everything else is just fine but this. I cannot even see the option to adjust it on my taskbar or in my settings. It just seems to have disappeared and I do not understand why.

Can anyone help with this, please? The glare from this screen is not fun to deal with while working or using my computer for anything at all.

Hi:

if the device manager shows the Intel HD graphics adapter is installed under the display adapters device manager category, the only suggestion I can offer would be to see if installing this software allows you to use the function keys to adjust the brightness.

This package contains the HP System Event Utility, which enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed. For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information. This package is provided for the supported computer models running a supported operating system.
