I have a HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-bp1xx and I have been having issues with extending the display to an external monitor. I bought a brand new monitor, thinking the other was just broken, and my new one is saying "No Signal." The PC does recognize that there is an external display and some windows will disappear to the other display when the HDMI cord is plugged in, but there is no picture.

What is your machine ? How did you connect the OLD monitor ?

The exact model of my notebook (Envy x360) is in my original post. Both monitors connect via HDMI. The old one started intermittently shutting on and off the display for a few weeks until it stopped coming on entirely. I attempted to connect the new monitor with the old and new HDMI cords and neither work. The new monitor does show as an installed device but does not show as an active device.
