Does anyone know what the keyboard shortcut for the scroll lock on HP Intel Core i3 laptops is and where it is located? I've searched all over the internet and:

- on-screen keyboard with the "ScrLk" button does not work even when I toggle it on and off multiple times

- Fn-C, Fn-S, Fn-Ctrl-C, etc. all do not work

- I cannot find any button on my keyboard that even comes close to resembling the image the HP website has for the Scroll Lock button, nor do I have any blatantly "scroll lock"-labeled buttons on my keyboard.

I've been pressing fn-anything really for the past hour and only managed to cause some weird shortcuts to appear. The scroll was working fine until I happened to partially place a small book on top of the keyboard and now I can't scroll with my touchpad. Please help me out if you can!

@orangeskies
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Could you please share the keyboard picture?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
