It is the black thin wire I am referring to. It goes to the screen, but is not the main wire. I think it may have to do with the touch, but it’s been disconnected from the Chip. I cannot find the replacement online anywhere.

Hi:
That is the antenna cable that goes to the wireless card in your picture.
It attaches to that little round connector on the lower corner of the wireless card (the rectangular green device in your screenshot).
If the end is broken off, you will have to completely disassemble the entire notebook including the display panel area to properly run the new antenna, which found in chapter 3 of the service manual, page 24.
Antenna (includes wireless antenna cable and transceiver) HP part # 925032-001

If you don't want to go through the hassle, you can just use an external USB wifi adapter.
