I am trying to run Adobe Premiere Pro and the program is advising me to update my Graphics Driver. When I go to the Intel website to download the driver that Premiere suggests, it warns me that I have a special driver, customized by HP, for my Intel HD Graphics 620 Card and running their driver may cause issues. When I go to HP Support and check for updated drivers it says I have the latest. What should I do? Should I take a chance and try the Intel driver or am I taking a risk of messing up my computer? My current driver is: Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 23.20.16.4973 Adobe says I need to update to driver version 100.6286 or higher in order for Premiere to run properly.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi:
Here is how to update the graphics driver to the latest version...
First, create a system restore point so that you can roll back to the current graphics driver you have installed, just in case the updated driver does not work to your expectations.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027538/windows-create-a-system-restore-point
Next, download and save the latest Intel HD graphics driver ZIP file for the model Intel HD graphics adapter your notebook comes with (HD 520, HD 620 UHD 620...).
This is the latest driver as of today.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28888/Intel-Graphics-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers
Unzip the graphics driver file to its folder. Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager, click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category
Click on the Intel HD graphics adapter listed there.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and then at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Click on Have Disk, and browse to the unzipped graphics driver folder>Graphics>iigd_dch (setup information file), click Next, and the driver should install.
Be patient, as it can take a few minutes for the driver to completely install.
When the installation is finished, restart the PC.
If you install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA), after you manually install the driver, it should in the future, automatically install the latest graphics driver without having to do the manual install.
