So, about a week ago now, I recently updated my display driver due to the fact that my brightness wasn't working properly. Though, afterwards, my laptop started stuttering very badly, to the point where it was unusable. I've tried everything. EVERYTHING!! I could find. Nothing has worked. Currently I have my driver set to Microsoft's Basic Display Driver. Though, of course, since it's not up-to-date, my games and specific programs (Like editing software and such.) do not work accordingly. I don't know what to do at this point, and I'd be so happy to know if someone has a solution to this. For some extra information, since it might help, the driver I updated to was the AMD Radeon HD 8330. My processor/CPU is also AMD, if that helps. If you need to know any more I'll be more than happy to provide. I just recently got this laptop from a family member about 2 months ago after my last one (To which lasted about 6 years for me) finally gave out.

You already have an HP Account because you are using this forum.
Open HP Support Assistant app (copy and paste HP Support Assistant in the searchbox in the taskbar).
The half-man icon on the lefthand side will allow you to fill in your name and email. This will allow you to login to the app.
Then add your device. This usually requires your devices serial number. This allows the app to give your device the correct updates. Logout and then login with your HP details, if your device is shown in the home page and the product code and serial number are listed you have been successful.
Click on the check for updates in the top right hand side. Install any updates, restart the device and repeat the process.
Once you are certain that there are no more HP updates to be installed, on the HP Support Assistant home page there is a Fixes & Diagnostic tab, select see all fixes and diagnostics.
The Fixes & Diagnostic window opens, part of the web page is named check your operating system, select the launch link. The operating system diagnostics opens, let it do it's magic.
Once again ensure there are no new HP updates.
Copy and paste Check for updates to the search box in the taskbar then open the app. WIN 10 updates may take some time, leave ir running overnight.
