Your machine has 17.3" diagonal HD+ SVA BrightView WLED-backlit (1600 x 900). The series has ONE option for FHD:
- L22564-001: FHD, anti glare, non-touch
You should be able to replace its display using part # L22564-001. I don't think you can do this yourself. Please contact HP Sevice Center for this work.
Regards.

Thanks for the reply! What is meant by the term "series"? Does a series all have the same case and motherboard, but they are just configured differently with a different screen, RAM, or CPU?
I've replaced the hard drive in this laptop with an SSD. Would replacing the display be harder to do than that? Is the connector different? Would soldering be involved? Do you think only the HP Service Center can do it or could most laptop repair shops be able to? How does one contact HP Service Center?
Thanks for your help!
