Hi everyone. I recently bought a HP elitebook 840 G1 model (core i5 4300u ). Initially i was happy with it. But after i started using it i noticed that it had very very bad viewing angles. I have used HP laptops before. But this was the worst TN panel i had seen (14-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD+ anti-glare SVA flat (1600 x 900)). I was wondering whether repleacing it with (14-inch diagonal LED-backlit FHD anti-glare UWVA slim (1920 x 1080) ) would improve the viewing angles and color reproduction or is this even possible? I think that the connector is eDP 30 pin. Or a even better choice if i could use the better panels of G2 or G3 models. Would they be compatible? Thanks

To keep more privacy, normally business machines don't have wider angle screens. The series supports
- 14-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD anti-glare SVA flat (1366 x 768)
- 14-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD+ anti-glare SVA flat (1600 x 900)
- 14-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD+ SVA flat + touch (1600 x 900)
- 14-inch diagonal LED-backlit FHD anti-glare UWVA slim (1920 x 1080)
The following manual (page 75) gives you part number and how to replace screen.
