I am trying to configure using my HD TV as a second display. When I plug it into the laptop's HDMI port and select "second display" using the f4 key nothing happens. The TV is not being detected. Not sure if its the intel graphics card or something else.

@Oddseajak
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I suggest you update the Graphics driver from Device Manager
- In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
- In the list of devices, look for Graphics driver and expand the list
- Right-click the driver and select Update Driver Software.
- Click Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated driver.
- Restart your computer to complete the installation of the updates.
Next: Right click on your desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings. Click on the Display option. The screen will list the display devices connected to the computer. I also recommend you reduce the Resolution and check if it detects the other monitor. Click here to know more on "How To Set Up Multiple Monitors in Windows 10"
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi
Thanks for responding to my question. I followed your instructions. The attempt to update the drivers did not work. The response I got was that the "latest drivers are already installed". Iwent to the AMD drivers website and downloaded and installed the AMD Catalyst software version for Windows 10/64 bit for the AMD hardware on my laptop. That did not help.
I opened the Intel HD Graphics settings and it looks like whatever version is installed does not support a second display or a TV monitor. The Intel HD Graphics control panel has settings for multiple displays and when I click on it the dropdown menu shows the built-in display only.
Is this a hardware or software issue?

Hi
Thanks for responding. I tried the link you provided but could not connect with a live person, only the virtual agent. The local HP service providers do not provide support for devices with expired warranty. How can I connect with an HP support person?
Thank you
