Hi

Just looking for some hints on using the 'Tilt Pen' that came with my Spectre x360.

Nice pen but what applications use the full features.

I want do draw stuff! All the apps I have tried work but ignore tilt, rubber etc.

Tried:

Windows Draw3d, nice but no proper pen integration.

Windows paint. Not a lot of use.

Snip and Whiteboard - Usefull but not for art and drawing.

MyPaint brilliant on linux with WACOM. No tilt on windows with pen. Not really a Windows app!

Any suggestions, preferably Open Source or free!

Thanks

Stuart

Thanks for the reply, however this did not help.

My pen does NOT have a butten you can hold down for 3 seconds to pair with the bluetooth on my laptop.

It looks like the one in the pictures. It has a slide up bit to uncover the usbc charge port and it has two buttons near the tip. When I press the top it does nothing. There is no click, nothing.

This pen was supplied with my (new) Spectre x360. It's HP P/N: L85659-001.

It is NOT listed in the windows devices view and yet it still works! I have never paired it. It just worked out of the box.

My problem is that none of the SW recognises it, other that as a mouse! No tilt, no pressure sensitive.

I have tried FreshPaint which is MPP 2 complient and that is the only app that recognises the pen properly.

Is there any further configuration I should be doing?

Regards

Stuart

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that helps.

Ok. So I went with your suggestion.

However my experience was not as you described. After signing in and idenifying my product (laptop) the only contact options are:

Virtual Agent: Worse that useless. No matter how a phrase my question I just end up re-phrasing my question with NO workable response. Very frustrating. I left some feedbact to that effect!

This forum: This is this forum so I am already doing that!

Phone support: While I am OK to contact HP by phone I would have thought a simple email of online chat with a technical support person would be sufficient. I will keep this as my last option.

Again thanks for your help.
