Pavilion x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I'm running a Pavilion with 2 external monitors, and the pavilion is duplicating one of the monitors.  Instead, I'd like to use it as a 3rd monitor but I can't figure out how to do so.

Currently I have monitors going through a docking station, which connects to my laptop via USB.

Monitor 1 going to docking station via HDMI

Monitor 2 going to docking station via VGA

Docking station is Pluggable USB 3.0, Display Link

Thanks so much!

@d_friedmon Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to connect the 2 external monitors.

Please refer to the following video to set up multiple monitors in windows 10 operating systems.

Hello Praveen196-

Thank you for the reply.  My question is about how to utilize my HP Pavilion's screen as a third monitor.  Currently, the screen is mirroring my first display instead of identifying as a separate display.

Look forward to your help.

Thanks!

Danner

1) Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select Display settings to open the Display page. Your PC should automatically detect your monitors and show your desktop. If you don't see the monitors, select Detect.

2) Scroll down to Multiple displays, then select an option from the drop-down list to determine how your desktop will display across your screens. For the largest work area, select Extend desktop.

3) Select Keep changes.

4) Scroll up to Resolution and select an option. We suggest that you use the recommended resolution settings.

5) Select Keep changes.

If the issue still persists, try these steps -

1) In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.
2) In Device Manager, expand Display Adapter.
3) Right-click on the Display Adapter, and then select Uninstall device > Delete the driver software for this device check box > Uninstall.
4) Restart the computer.

Download and install the BIOS, Chipset drivers from this link

Let me know how that goes.
